Thank you! About Humphrey: Humphrey Mark Dobinson was a teacher at Fairham School, Nottingham; Dorcan School, Swindon and New College, Swindon. In 2007, he and his Norwegian wife, Oddrun, moved to Norway to be closer to family and grandchildren. Pacifist, educationalist, ornithologist, gardener, researcher, MBE, co-founder of the Cape Clear bird observatory, author, publisher and beloved special needs teacher to generations of children and young adults in Nottingham and Swindon—but most of all, adored father, grandfather, father-in-law and treasured husband of our mother Oddrun for almost 54 years. 82 years old, but blessed with a sharp mind and endless creativity, ideas for new projects and books as yet unwritten and endless devotion to his family and grandchildren, he was taken from us and from the life he loved on December 21st, 2020, after living bravely with cancer and other ailments for a long time. Humphrey did not want people to spend money on flowers, and his great hope was that those wishing to remember him would make a donation to one of the following charities that mattered greatly to him: Mercy Ships, Médecins sans frontiers (Leger uten grenser), UNESCO, World Literacy Foundation or Save the Children Global Education.
